R. Swaminathan (alias Swami) is the Chief People Officer, and is responsible for the entire gamut of people-oriented processes at WNS.; He has the distinction of building a robust people strategy to back the turnaround that WNS has witnessed over the last few years and has been recently recognized as the AON Best Employer India and Poland.; Business Partnering, introduced by Swami at WNS, to enable the conduit between the HR function and the verticals (also referred to as industries), has seen great resonance, and is today a case study.; A globally acclaimed Learning and Development function (with first-of-its-kind Domain Universities and leadership competency models), award-winning culture creation (aligning talent with the organization's goal of outperformance) and various HR technology frameworks and applications are part of Swami's stint at WNS.; Prior to joining WNS, Swami was with CA Technologies, where he served as Vice President - Human Resources and was the Country Head - HR for India. He has also served as Head of HR Operations at Syntel and thereafter, for a short while, was its Global HR Head.; Prior to Syntel, Swami had a long tenure at GE spanning multiple roles such as Master Black Belt – HR and Assistant Vice President and Head – Operations for HR, Customer Research and Operational Analytics, apart from other roles in mergers and acquisitions.; He is a certified Change Acceleration Coach and a keen practitioner of Six Sigma. Swami has a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Madras.
